How do you like the Game Of Throne books? I read one and found it really hard to not constantly mix up the characters (who is who and from where?). Did you have that too and is it getting better the more you advance with the books?

The Kampusch book was interesting. Its hard to judge that book because she lived through it all... but the book itself is not that good. Its more a long therapy session with her, where she analyzes what happened rather than just telling it. Thats how I felt at least.

I saw the TV series of Game of Thrones 1st....as did all of my friends & we started the books after that. That was the only way I was able to follow the book so easily...it's so visual & there are so many characters. Is there a way to see this online or on TV there??? I also keep a little character list that I write down as the books progress so I can remember who's who!

I downloaded a *sample* of the Kampusch book in English...it's only about 30 pages but I will read it. Yes, I can imagine it would be personal therapy rather than just the depiction of the facts of the ordeal.

BTW, Groundhog Day has come & gone here & the local groundhog predicted SPRING is right around the corner. I wish I could send some of our mild weather to you!

Books: "Calling Mr. King" very entertaining story of a hit man who has had enough.

"The Revisionists* Great concept (time travel to revise history) but LOUSY execution & BORING!

"The Moonstone" by Wilkie Collins...one of the 1st ever detective novels...good in parts but too long

"Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott...I've had it since I was little & only just got around to reading it! A little preachy...but heartwarming & fun too!

"Firewall* by Henning Mankell ...Swedish mystery. YAY!

Also read bits of the "Catherine the Great" bio...& I can't think now what else! About to embark on a couple of Dutch mysteries I have tempting me from my pile 'o books!

P.S. Also got me an e-reader so I'm going reading crazy!

PLEASE STAY WARM!!!!

I know! You read so much more with an E-reader, it a God-sent! Which one did you get?

The pile of average books that you have to dig through to find the one marvel! Tedious. I might give "Little Woman" a try. :)

I got a *NOOK* e-reader from Barnes & Noble (I don't know if you have that there.) but it's comparable to the basic Kindle model.

Oh, yeah & I forgot to add that I'm on the 5th book in the Game of Thrones series!

How is the Natascha Kampusch book? I remember reading all about her escape when it happened.
