Woohoo!  We got about 4 inches of snow during the night....first time since Halloween...after a disgustingly warmer & wetter than usual  few months it finally feels like winter!!!   Alas, it'll all be gone on the morrow...however, I hold out hope that more will be heading our way in the near future.

My heart goes out to all those people affected by the Costa Concordia tragedy.  To think that this can happen in this day & age...out of arrogance & stupidity...is beyond my understanding.

Well, it's Christmas Eve here in NYC....no White Christmas for us this year...but at least it won't rain.  All my shopping & cards are done & I just have some wrapping left to do.

Candy canes & cookies for all!  Merry Christmas!

My costume this year was the 85 year old, BILLIONAIRESS (I wish!) the Duchess of Alba!  I was a big hit...but wearing that white, curly wig for 5 hours made me feel like I really was 85....only without the billions.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN to all who celebrate!

Yikes!  Still October & we've been hit with a massive SNOWSTORM!!!  Crazy.  Leaves haven't even changed color yet so all the wet snow has weighed down branches & *CRACK* *CRASH* ...hugh leafy limbs all over the street.

Stayed inside all day preparing my Halloween costume...hopefully the trains will be running tomorrow & all the snow will be melted & the downed trees passable so I can get to the party.  I'm feeling the need for chocolate!

I can't believe it's 10 years already.  It's indelibly etched in my memory...but seems like yesterday & forever ago at the same time.  I see the black/brown chemical cloud of souls pass by every time I look to the southwest from my living room window...that day I saw one little white butterfly flitting about the bushes below the cloud....now it's a decade later & I just saw a little white butterfly flitting around the same bushes...
